OHSU Library What’s New

The OHSU Library will be closed on Monday, September 3 in observance of Labor Day. Regular library hours will resume on Tuesday, September 4.

Library staff are mourning the loss of friend and colleague, Linda Kay Johnson, a 27-year library veteran. Linda began her career at OHSU in August 1980 as a clerical specialist in the Library Circulation Department. Since then she worked in almost every library unit – interlibrary loan, cataloging and the dental branch library - before assuming her role as Student Employee Coordinator in September 1993. Linda was a mentor to many student employees over the years and sent several of them off to graduate school in library science.Linda was a longtime Local 328 (OHSU) and Oregon AFSCME activist and served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.Linda passed away on Aug. 17, 2007 after an illness. She touched many lives and we will miss her.
